Description

**As of May 3, 2023,, project was awarded to Prospect Construction INC., awarded amount is $4,102,380.17.** Primary Clarifier Rehabilitation 1. Replacement ofprimary clarifier 3 and 4 mechanism, drive, scum baffle, weir, bridge, drive platform and handrail. 2. Repair and replacement, of the grout at the clarifier floor slab. 3. General concrete and grout rehab of the structure to includecrack repair, structural repairs and the application of various sealants and coating systems. 4. Rehab of the influent sewer pipe using cured-in-place pipe. This contract has seventy-five (75) working days to substantially complete the work. A suspension of contract time will be included to account for equipment lead times. Contract questions shall be directed only to the office of the Project Engineer, or Marc Cawley at 509-249-6854. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by bond or a certified check., payable to the order of the Treasurer of the City ofYakima for the sum of not less than 5% of said bid or proposal and none will be considered unless accomipanied by such deposit, to be forfeited to the City of Yakima in the event the successful bidder shall fail or refuse to enter into a Contract with the City for the making and construction of the aforesaid improvement. All bids or proposals must be in writing on the form bound m the Specifications, sealed and filed with the Clerk on or before the day and hour above mentioned. The City of Yakima, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of FederalRegulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it shall affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises shall be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and shall not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Yakima reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities or irregularities, and after careful consideration of all bids and factors involved, make the award to best serve the interests of the City of Yakima. The work specified in this Section consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of the Primary Clarifier Rehabilitation, as shown on the Plans, and hereinafter specified, at the existing wastewater treatment plant site. Work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: A. Concrete and grout demolition and repair. B. Major and minor structural repair and crack repair. C. Surface preparation and installation of coating systems. D. Demolition and replacement of primary clarifier mechanism including all appurtenances and electrical work. E. Rehab of the influent sewer pipe using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP). F. Provide all associated work as shown on the Plans and specified herein for a complete and workable system. Work shall be substantially completed in Eighty (80) working days and physically completed in Ninety (90) working days
