Description | The general scope of work is construction of a new water treatment building at the existing Water Street Treatment Plant located at 6 Water Street, Pennsville, NJ including structures, pressure filters, granular activated carbon units, chemical feed equipment, pumps, piping, mechanical systems, electrical and control systems, plumbing, and startup and commissioning services. Location of Work - The Work of this Contract is located at the Township of Pennsville Water Street water treatment facility on properties owned by the Township of Pennsville in Salem County, New Jersey. The site entrance is located at 6 Water Street, Pennsville, New Jersey 08070. Written bid questions will be due to the Township Administrator on February 22, 2023. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. Description of Work 1. Site Work a. Assist authorized personnel with preparing preconstruction and post-construction photo and video documentation of each work area and adjacent structures. b. Provide temporary erosion and sediment control structures prior to full-scale earth disturbance or earth moving activities; maintain controls throughout construction; remove and dispose of controls at the specified time or at the end of the Contract Period when a time is not specified; and provide permanent stabilization throughout the disturbance area. c. Clear and grub disturbance areas. d. Protect existing and construct new access when necessary to complete the Work. e. Construct concrete truck washout areas. f. Construct, provide, operate, and maintain stormwater management structures, equipment, and materials during construction. g. Coordinate with Owner utilities personnel to relocate utilities to accommodate construction. h. Improve existing and construct new aggregate surface and bituminous surface access as designated on plans. i. Decommission, demolish, and dispose of the existing utilities indicated on the Drawings. j. Excavate and stockpile for reuse, the existing soil pile placed within the footprint of the proposed treatment building for preconsolidation of the foundation subgrade. Client Project No.: 179-2021 |
