Description

This project consists of replacement of the DDC Control systems, to include, but not limited to: • Provide a peer to peer high speed communications bus. • Replacement of all existing JCI controllers. • Provide interoperable communication capabilities for third-party controllers: BACnet, LonWorks or Modbus. • Communicate with one of the existing virtual DDC controls servers. • Replace all system components that are not compatible with the new controllers. • Replace all sensors that are over 5 years old. • Replace all sensors that allow user input. • Replace all transmitters. • Replace all pneumatic components. • Replace all actuators that are not direct-coupled. • Replace all actuators that are powered when in the "normal" position. (Beer can hydraulic actuators are an example of this). • Replace all freezestats. • Replace most of the 3-way reheat valves with 2-way valves to allow pump VFD's to track load. • Add CT's or other feedback mechanism to any motor that is commanded by the system to verify motor status, do not use dP switches. • Provide airflow stations to each AHU to show total airflow through the unit. • Work shall be sequenced to complete one building before progressing to the next. • If new items do not fit in the same location as the device it is replacing, provide new wires that are long enough or provide terminal blocks, wire nut splices are not allowed. • After all work is complete in a building turn off the compressed air to the building, and watch the building to be sure everything still functions properly. • Commission each building system when it is complete.
