Description

Scope of Services The estimated cost of the Project is between $3.5M to $4.5M 1.Locate, identify, and field verify existing utilities crossing and adjacent to the proposed pipeline alignment; 2. Provide and implement stormwater pollution prevention measures in accordance with State Standards; 3. Installation, connections, commissioning, and start-up of the Modular Chiller Plant (MCP). District pre-procured equipment consisting of three 1,500-ton water-cooled chilling equipment enclosed skids and a fourth skid-mounted cooling water return pump system. The chiller equipment has been pre-purchased by Valley Water; 4. Installation, connections, commissioning, and start-up of a secondary unit substation and switchgear with weatherproof non-walk-in enclosure; 5. Approximately 200 feet of buried 24-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and approximately 700 feet of buried 20-inch HDPE pipe rated for use at a pressure class of 200 pounds per square inch (psi); 6. Approximately 60 feet of above grade welded steel piping, valves, pipe supports, and appurtenances at the MCP. 16-inch, 24-inch, and 30-inch diameter; 7. Approximately 240 feet of buried 1-inch copper pipe and approximately 230 feet of buried 1-inch copper pipe routed above grade, sourced from a connection in the Utility & Storage Room of the Coyote Pumping Plant, for use as a potable water supply at the MCP; 8. Site work including excavation, backfill, subgrade preparation, gravel surfacing, and asphalt restoration; 9. Structural work including construction of reinforced concrete slab foundations for the MCP and Electrical Substation; 10. Mechanical work including furnish and install piping connections including valves, pipe supports, and appurtenances at the connection to the existing buried raw water pipeline, pipe connection at the existing plant, and pipe connection inside the existing vault; 11. Electrical work including installation of new fused disconnect switches at the existing switching facility, underground duct bank and electrical feed from the existing switching facility to the new Secondary Unit Substation and from the new Secondary Unit Substation to the MCP;12. Instrumentation work including field mounting, conduit, and wire for instruments supplied by the MCP for locations outside of the plant enclosures and shipped loose. Programming and Integration work to modify existing facility SCADA systems to include MCP; 13. Construct foundations, structures, security enclosures, and slabs for MCP and the unit Substation; 14. Provide environmental support, surveys, and monitoring; and 15. Restore all impacted work sites to a condition equal to or better than that existing prior to construction.
