Roadway Improvements For Bill Carter Road For The Liberty County Board of Commissioners

As of May 10, 2023. The project has been awarded to Swindell Construction Company however, the awarded amount has not determined at this time. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the rehabilitation of Bill Carter Rd. More specifically the work consists of the full-depth reclamation of Bill Carter Rd and the installation of an asphalt surface. Bill Carter Rd is a two-lane roadway that is 24 ft in width and approximately 6,000 ft in length. Bids for the complete work in one or more general contracts shall be made on the bid form provided & shall contain prices in words & figures for the work bid. All bids shall he accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the Liberty Co. Bd of Commissioners, in the amount of at least five percent of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond & Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the Liberty Co. Bd of Commissioners. Each bond shall be equal to one hundred percent of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Liberty Co. Bd of Commissioners as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
