Description | The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN. 021835.00 Location: In Knox County, project is located on Route 235 approx. 350 feet north of the Warren/Waldoboro town line. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Large Culvert Replacement - Warren, Region 2 Dredge Material (See MaineDOT Standard Specifications 101.2) is regulated as a Special Waste. Dredge Material can be reused with a Beneficial Use Permit issued by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP). However, Beneficial Use of Dredge Material from Class A, Class AA, and Class SA waterbodies is exempt from Beneficial Use Permits. Work associated with the Route 235 - Large Culvert (#46645) Replacement project in Warren will occur in Alford Brook (Class A Waterbody); therefore, Beneficial Use of Dredge Material from this initiative is exempt from Beneficial Use Permits. |
