| Description | It is the purpose of this Bid to provide aluminum sign blanks, of various sizes and gauges, for use by Essex County and its included political subdivisions for the fabrication of traffic signs. Blanks to be of aluminum 5052-H38 stable flat sheet (thermally stabilized in sheet form). Contractor must be able to provide mill certification that this is the material furnished. Blanks shall be rolled from domestic stock and have rounded corners and 3/8" holes punched top and bottom and centered about a vertical axis. The location of the punched holes shall be specified upon the placement of each order (i.e. Vertical or Horizontal Sign, Square or Diamond). All blanks shall be unpainted, degreased, and etched by the Alodine 1200 process after shearing, punching, and rounding corners. Blanks shall have no rough edges or burrs. |
