Description

**As of August 26, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Project Description: The work consists of furnishing all construction services, equipment, necessary tools, materials, fuel, personnel, supervision, and labor required to complete the preparation and placement as specified herein: The project includes construction of an asphalt paved parking lot, fenced materials storage area and fenced community garden plots, picnic area, play area and play equipment, prefabricated restroom, prefabricated picnic shelter, earthwork, planting irrigation, community garden water supply, and planting; Mitigation and enhancement for the vegetated corridor of the wetland will be performed by Clean Water Services through the VCEF Program. The engineering for managing storm drainage includes a new connection through Stites Park, into a new water quality swale and connection to an existing wetland within the park. Work includes locating an 18" diameter pipe through the parking lot area, with manholes at the right-of-way connection, overflow and connection to the existing storm line. The engineering for the water quality swale, including layout and grading has been designed by Kittelson & Associates. The planting within the water quality swale will be installed as part of the 26th Ave. Improvements project, while all mitigation and enhancement planting for the Vegetated Corridor will be performed by Clean Water Services through the VCEF program. In addition to the engineering portions, the 26th Ave. Improvements project will also include a path connecting Phase 1 of the Park to Phase 2, and a pre-engineered wood bridge over the water quality swale. Itemized cost tracking of the two components of the Project-Park and 26th Avenue Improvements, will be required. The parks Director and representatives of the Landscape Architect and Kittelson & Associates will accompany the tour. Each bid proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and bid sheet and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Forest Grove, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. Each successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for faithful performance of the Contract in the full amount of the Contract price. Attention is called to the "Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Contracts in Oregon", effective January 1, 2022. Attention is called to the following: 1. Bidders shall be solely responsible to check for and download all addenda, if any, from the City web site prior to bidding. 2. Contractor, its subcontractors, if any, and all employers working under the Contract are subject to employers under the Oregon Workers' Compensation Law and shall comply with ORS 656.017, which requires them to provide worker's compensation coverage for all their subject workers. 3. Contractor and all subcontractors must be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (in compliance with ORS 701.055) and/or the Landscape Contractors Board (in compliance with ORS 671) prior to bid opening.
