Santa Nella County Water District Production Well No. 2 Project

As of June 21,2023 project was awarded to Nor-Cal Pump & Well Drilling, Inc. , awarded amount is $1,023,523.00. The Production Well No. 2 Project is located in the town of Volta, California in Merced County. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of construction of a new water production well located near the Volta community that will serve the existing users in Santa Nella and Volta communities. Well No. 2 will be screened below the Corcoran Clay to meet the required production rate of 600 gallons per minute (gpm) and to meet all water quality standards. Well No. 2 is to be constructed of 14-inch diameter, High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) casing with HSLA steel wire wrapped well screen to a depth of approximately 600 feet. Well No. 2 will be screened at approximately 460 to 500 feet below ground surface (ft bgs) and 520 to 560 feet below ground surface (ft bgs), with confirmation based on lithology and geophysical logging following borehole drilling, and will include gravel feed and sounding tubes. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish District with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract. The Contractor must possess a C-57 license to install and repair water wells and pumps by boring, drilling, excavating, casing cementing and cleaning to provide a supply of uncontaminated water. All work shall be completed by Thursday, July 27, 2023 The last day for Contractor request for information/clarifications is Friday, May 5, 2023.
