Description | Demolition of Phase 1A_1B Houses (198 houses) located in Waco, TX. A. The residences, in their entirety, shall be demolished including all footings, slabs, all porches, carports, driveways, and steps. All concrete directly associated with the residences shall be removed. B. Previous demolition projects that left concrete foundations and driveways intact shall be removed. C. Playground equipment located at the intersection of Maxwell Street and Chanute Street shall be removed along with all associated ground cover. D. All sidewalks, curbs, and approaches will remain intact. E. Remove all trees and shrubs that are unhealthy or are blocking work progress. Healthy trees that are not in the way of the demolition work should be protected and left in place. F. Install a six-foot chain link fence around the work area. G. All work shall be under the management of the Consultant. H. All waste manifests and load receipts shall be supplied to the Consultant's on-site supervisor daily. I.Texas State Technical College shall be responsible for reseeding the backfilled area. J. All vehicles shall travel the designated route on the TSTC campus to avoid interrupting the day to day activities on the campus. All demolition related traffic shall enter/exit the demolition site at the gate located at the intersection of Brook Avenue and Langley Drive and enter/exit the TSTC campus at the south end on Airline Road. K. If any HVAC units still contain freon, the contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of the freon utilizing current regulation. L. The contractor is responsible for properly disposing of all appliances and contents left in the residences following all regulatory requirements from the State of Texas and the EPA. |
