Description | Pursuant to R.s. 38:2212 (E), the Lafourche Parish Sheriffs Office Has Partnered With Public Purchase to Distribute Bid Solicitations, Collect Responses, and/or Allow Contractors and Vendors the Ability to Respond Through a Uniform and Secure Electronic Interactive Bidding System. Official Bid Documents Can Be Downloaded From Public Purchase at Www.publicpurchase.com. Electronic Bids and Can Be Submitted at Www.publicpurchase.com. Bidders Participating in the Electronic Option Need to Contact Public Purchase if They Have Any Questions or Issues Relating to the Electronic Bidding Process by Email at Support@thepublicgroup.com. There May Be Fees for Downloading Bid Documents That Are Charged by Public Purchase. Where Applicable, and in All Construction Projects, an Electronic Bid Bond is Also Required and Must Be Furnished. Failure of the Bidder to Upload Their Bid to Public Purchase is Not the Responsibility of Lafourche Parish Sheriffs Office. Printed Copies of the Bid Documents Are Not Available From the Architect or Owner. The Time of Completion of This Project is of Prime Importance, Subject to Milestone Phase Completion Deadlines Identified in the Project Manual or Written Approved Change Orders. Should the Contractor Neglect, Refuse to Complete the Work, or Obtain Approval From the State Fire Marshals Office for Occupancy on the Date Above, the Owner Shall Have the Right to Deduct From and Retain Out of Such Moneys Which Be Due or Which May Become Due and Payable to the Contractor, the Sum as Indicated in Paragraph 9.2 of the Instructions to Bidders Per Calendar Day for Each and Every Day That Such Completion of the Work is Delayed Beyond the Prescribed Dates, as Stipulated Damages and Not as a Penalty. The Attention to Bidders is Called Particularly to the Requirements for Conditions of Employment to Be Observed and Minimum Wage Rates to Be Paid in Accordance With Federal Labor Laws, Section 3, and All Applicable Laws and Regulations of the Federal Government and State of Louisiana and Bonding and Insurance Requirements. Proposals Must Be Submitted, on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form Furnished With the Contract Documents, Per Instructions to Bidders. Evidence of Authority to Submit the Bid Shall Be Required in Accordance With La. R.s. 38:2212(B)(5). All Bid Packages Shall Be Accompanied With the Following: 1. Completed Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form as Described in La R.s. 38:2212(B)(2). 2. Bid Security in an Amount Equal to Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Bid Amount. Bid Security Shall Be a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond (Money Orders or Letters of Credit Will Not Be Accepted) Made Payable to the Lafourche Parish Sheriffs Office. Bid Bond Shall Be Accompanied With Power of Attorney. 3. A Corporate Resolution or Written Evidence of the Authority of the Person Signing the Bid for the Public Work as Prescribed by La R.s. 38:2212(B)(5). Failure to Include Any Item Specified Above, or Failure to Complete the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form in Its Entirety and Properly Execute This Form Will Result in the Bid / Bids Being Declared Irregular and Cause for Rejection as Being Non-responsive. All Other Information Contained in the Instructions to Bidders Shall Be Strictly Adhered to. Bids Shall Be Accepted Only From Contractors Who Are Licensed Under La. R.s. 37:2150 2164 for the Classification of Building Construction. No Bid May Be Withdrawn After the Closing Time for Receipt of Bids for at Least Forty-five (45) Calendar Days, Except Under the Provision of La. R.s. 38:2214. The Lowest Qualified Bid Will Be the One Determined to Offer the Best Advantage to the Lafourche Parish Sheriffs Office. The Lafourche Parish Sheriffs Office, to the Extent Permitted by State and Federal Laws and Regulations, Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids/proposals for Just Cause. Proposal Prices Shall Specifically Exclude Any and All Taxes Whatsoever. Act 1029 of 1991 Exempts Local Governments From State and Local Tax Effective September 1, 1991. Proposal Prices Shall Include Any Shipping / Transportation Charges, if Applicable. |
