Description | It is the intent and purpose of these contract documents to provide for improvements to the existing water system. CONTRACTOR TO PERFORM ALL WORK AS INDICATED. This project will be funded by TWDB. This contract shall provide for the necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, and all other related construction for the proposed project. SUMMARY OF WORK : General 1. Traffic control as required, including all barricades, signs, and traffic handling. Weavers Cove and Weavers Cove Road 2. Construct approximately 15,672 linear feet of 12" DR-21 Class 200 PVC water line and 1,966 linear feet of 4" DR-21 Class 200 PVC water line by open cut method and approximately 800 linear feet of 14" SDR-11 HDPE water line by directional drill method. 3. Construction and installation shall include all fittings, thrust blocking, restrained joints, tracer wire, testing, disinfection, bacteriological testing, excavation, connection to existing water lines, HDPE to PVC connections, flush valves, gate valves, backfill, embedment, surface restoration, sediment control and other appurtenances as shown on the contract plans and specifications. 4. Furnish and install air release/vacuum valves, restrained joints, valves, fittings, manholes, vents, and all related appurtenances including excavation, backfill as shown on the contract plans and specifications. Impala Woods 5. Construct approximately 15,260 linear feet of 8" DR-21 Class 200 PVC water line and approximately 2,785 linear feet of 10" SDR-11 HDPE water line by directional drill method. 6. Construction and installation shall include all fittings, thrust blocking, restrained joints, tracer wire, testing, disinfection, bacteriological testing, excavation, connection to existing water lines, HDPE to PVC connections, flush valves, gate valves, backfill, embedment, surface restoration, sediment control and other appurtenances as shown on the contract plans and specifications. 7. Furnish and install air release/vacuum valves as required, restrained joints, valves, fittings, manholes, vents, and all related appurtenances including excavation, backfill as shown on the contract plans and specifications. Sandy Ridge 8. Construct approximately 1,085 linear feet of 6" DR-21 Class 200 PVC water line, 2,085 linear feet of 4" DR-21 Class 200 PVC water line, and 340 linear feet of 2" DR-21 Class 200 PVC water line. 9. Construction and installation shall include all fittings, thrust blocking, restrained joints, tracer wire, testing, disinfection, bacteriological testing, excavation, connection to existing water lines, water service connections, gate valves, backfill, embedment, surface restoration, sediment control and other appurtenances as shown on the contract plans and specifications. 10. Furnish and install air release/vacuum valves as required, restrained joints, valves, fittings, manholes, vents, and all related appurtenances including excavation, backfill as shown on the contract plans and specifications. Lake Tejas 11. Construct approximately 13,243 linear feet of 4" DR-21 Class 200 PVC water line and 3,447 linear feet of 6" DR-21 Class 200 PVC water line. 12. Construction and installation shall include all fittings, thrust blocking, restrained joints, tracer wire, testing, disinfection, bacteriological testing, excavation, connection to existing water lines, water service connections, gate valves, backfill, embedment, surface restoration, 13. Reconnect 64 existing water services (Near/Far), including all fittings, piping, boring, radio read meters, pressure testing, disinfection, bacteriological testing, excavation, connection to existing services, valves, backfill, embedment, surface restoration, and other appurtenances as shown on the contract Special Considerations 1. Contractor to coordinate with LLWSC prior to making connections to existing waterlines, and coordinate at least 72 hours in advance for any shutdowns required for tie-ins. Contractor to coordinate with LLWSC for actuation of all existing waterline valves. 2. Underground utilities exist near or within the project area. During construction the Contractor shall take the necessary precautions to avoid damaging the existing utilities within the limits of the project site 3. Provide for Horizontal Directional Drill installation at designated wetlands and streams as indicated. Ensure that boring entrance and exit points are located at a safe and sufficient distance to protect stream beds and wetlands from potential frac-out. 4. The Contractor shall pay close attention to the project schedule to ensure that the work is completed in a timely manner without delays. 5. Contractor shall restore the construction sites to their original condition or better prior to the project completion and Owner's acceptance. 6. Contractor shall coordinate work with Mr. Philip Everett (LLWSC) at 936-327-3107 prior to starting construction. 7. Contractor to comply with all environmental requirements as included in the plans and specifications. |
