Description | Plans call for the construction of a Chambers Building which will be attached to the 20-story tower that is being renovated for the new city hall. The Chambers Building will be a 25,000 square foot 2-story addition to house city council meetings and other public meeting uses. As of April 28, 2023, permits are pending for the Chambers Building project and a firm construction start timeline has yet to be determined. The City Hall Tower project started construction January 2023. The construction manager is seeking subcontractor trade pricing for the Chambers Building foundation package. Please direct all inquiries to the construction manager. Subcontractors must pre-qualify with the construction manager. Estimate = total project construction cost estimate. QC #1 has been issued as of 11-7-2022. QC #2 has been issued as of 10-28-2022. QC #3 has been issued as of 11-7-2022. See the attached Q&C #1 that is partially answered. Question #1 has been answered. The planter walls will now be excluded. The piers are still included but the associated walls above will be excluded. Question #2, however, and the pad prep is still being addressed. This message only applies to any interested concrete vendors. The Appendix C - Bid Form & Appendix D - Scope of Work have both been updated to include an allowance for the elevated superstructure. This allowance amount is provided on both forms. Your total base bid amount will include this allowance. After contract award and the elevated superstructure design is ready for pricing the Bidder will reconcile this allowance. Note from CM: There were two clerical errors that came to my attention on the instruction to bidder documents. 1. The MWBE participation % was 60%. This is wrong it should be 50%. 2. The retainage was 5%. This should be 10%. I have revised the ITB documents to reflect these changes. The changes are now in red. For ease I've made a single PDF of all bid documents combined. See attached. One is for concrete the other is for the balance of the bids. I apologize for any confusion this may have provided. Thanks, Josh Farmer (817) 504-4324 |
