Description of proposed work: a) Description of why cutting-and-patching or coring cannot (reasonably) be avoided. b) Scope of cutting, coring, patching, alteration, or excavation. c) How it will be performed. d) How structural elements (if any) will be reinforced. e) Trades who will execute the work. f) Products proposed to be used. g) Extent of refinishing to be done. h) Approximate dates of the work, and anticipated results in terms of variations from the work as originally completed (structural, operational, visual, and other qualities of significance). Summary of Work: The Project consists of stair repairs at the Mary Ellen McCormack Development located in Dorchester area of Boston, Massachusetts, including all improvements as indicated on the drawings and specifications. 1. Contractor shall be responsible for Fire Watch as per Boston Fire Department requirements. 2. Contractor shall comply with the Boston Fire Department and City of Boston Inspectional Services for temporary egress during stair repairs. 3. Stairs shall be completed for use by the end of the work day. 4. Contractor shall comply with State and Federal regulations for lead paint. Existing paint is assumed to contain lead. C. Project Site: The public housing development Mary Ellen McCormack is located in the neighborhoods of the City of Boston, Massachusetts.
