Description | Bidders must be on the City's plan holders list to bid. Bore approximately 242 LF total in two bores and pull parallel 4 PVC conduits from beginning to end points detailed on the provided site plan. An executed copy of the contract and purchase order will be issued to the successful bidder that shall constitute acceptance of the Bidders Proposal. No bids will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of Business and Professions Code. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 to 1781 of the Labor Code, the City of Hanford has ascertained that the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work being done is as per wage scale on file in the City Engineers office. The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall pay not less than the specified wages to all workmen employed in the execution of the contract. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 to 1781 of the Labor Code, the City of Hanford has ascertained that the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work being done in Kings County is as per wage scale on file in the City Engineers office. The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall pay not less than the specified wages to all workmen employed in the execution of the contract. C 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Construction Contracts under $25,000, and Maintenance Contracts $15,000 and under are from some prevailing wage requirements, including DIR registration, and DIR notification of award. Prevailing wage is required for any project over $1,000, and the Contractor is responsible for keeping certified payroll records. If the project does not fall within the EXEMPT limits, the Contractor must provide the DIR numbers of the prime and all sub contractors on the contract. The City will report the award of the project before the work begins, or up to 30 days after award, whichever occurs first. SCOPE OF WORK o Pothole alignment, determine install depths based on conflicts o Provide bore pits and fencing at locations shown per plans o Directional Bore approx. 260 LF in two runs, 36" min. cover o Provide and install parallel runs (2) 4" PVC Conduit SCH 40 with no less than 36" of cover from the point noted on the site plan to the termination of the existing 4" conduits already installed alongside the old County Courthouse also shown on the site plan, with capped ends and no connections o Pulls are from point to point with no other connections. o The 4" PVC Conduit SCH 40 (approx. 480') to be provided by the contractor and include any appurtenances. o Conduit lengths are estimates. It is the responsibility of the contractor to provide and install the correct length of conduit to reach each terminal point. o Termination point will be constructed near enough to connection points to allow the installation of Christy boxes. o Demobilization and repairs per punch. o Leave bore pits open with fencing for 2 weeks after project completions.
