Description

The scope includes replacing the entire superstructure of the boardwalk in certain 12-foot span sections using new pressure-treated timber components, stainless steel hardware, and composite wood-plastic decking on existing footings, where directed. In boardwalk sections that do not warrant full superstructure replacement, select timber decking boards will be replaced using new timber pressure-treated decking. Miscellaneous components of the boardwalk, including but not limited to timber edge curbing or railing pieces, may be replaced under the Allowance item in accordance with the plan details. Other incidental work includes installing work zone protection and signage, minor vegetative pruning, disassembling sections of the existing boardwalk, proper disposal of waste materials, restoration of disturbed areas, and cleanup.
