Description | Contract 1 - General Construction of the replacement of the following: two influent screens and pumps at Clark Road Pump Station; grit and grease removal system; sequencing batch reactor system; UV disinfection system; plant roofing system; and sludge belt filter press and related work at the WWTP. Contract 2 - Electrical work for Clark Road Pump Station and MASA WWTP including wiring, motor control centers, standby generators, SCADA and related work. Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check, or bid bond in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price in accordance with provisions contained in the Instructions to Bidders section of the specifications. Proposal Security shall be made payable to the Meadville Area Sewer Authority. Contractors must comply with Davis Bacon Wage Rate Determinations, as specified in the Contract Documents. This project is being federally funded by EPA financial assistance dollars and therefore requires all contractors to demonstrate compliance with federal Executive Orders 11625, 12138 and 12432 and EPA Regulations at 40 CFR Part 30 et a., through the detailed documentation of solicitation of Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBEs). Contractors must demonstrate the Six Good Faith Efforts to identify and solicit DBE firms that are potential sources for any procurement action in the areas of project construction, equipment, services and supplies by including state qualified small businesses, and minority and women owned business enterprises in the bidding process. |
