Rail Restoration and Replacement Services

1. Installation and replacement of 470 crossties. 2. Tightening of all track bolts in all joints, and replacement of any missing or broken bolts. 3. Distribution of 200 tons of D-ballast for surfacing of approximately 1654 feet of rail, as needed; 4. Mechanical tamping and regulation of approximately 1654 track feet of rail (regulated to G&W standards). a) Raise of 1.5 inches – track will be tamped behind tie installation with double insertions with a mechanical tamper. b) Rock will be dumped as needed to fill in, making a minimum of one more tamping pass of double insertions and dressed to G&W standards. 5. Gage will not exceed 56 5/8 inches. 6. Awarded contractor will be responsible for scrap tie disposal from the property, upon 15 days from completion of project work.
