| Description | Construction of a Bulk Sodium Hypochlorite System is a project for replacing the existing chlorine gas system with a bulk sodium hypochlorite system at Rockville s Water Treatment Plant. The water treatment plant is located in Montgomery County on Sandy Landing Road in Potomac, Maryland. The plant was originally built in 1958 with a 4 million gallons per day (MGD) capacity, then upgraded to its current capacity of 8 MGD in 1968. The project consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools and services for the upgrades and other associated work as specified in the contract documents. |
