Lake Rim Elementary, Canopy Replacement

Canopies tops materials specified: 1) Structural members at canopies sides will be 6 inch x 4 inch x 3 inch eave struts sloped up, manufactured in 14 gauge steel, primed coated ready to accept finish paint by others. 6 inch eave strut attachment to existing steel frame to be designed by engineer of record. 2) Structural members at canopies ridge will be 8 inch x 5 inch x 3 inch eave struts sloped down, manufactured in 14 gauge steel, primed coated ready to accept finish paint by others. 8 inch eave strut attachment to existing steel frame to be designed by engineer of record. 3) Roof panels will be .040 x 3 inch x 12 inch aluminum material snap-lock design at side laps. Roof panels will be boxed 90 degrees one (1) end to prevent water infiltration at ridge area. Roof panels will be attached to sub framing by means of #10 x 5/8 inch teks stainless steel screw fasteners. Roof panels will be factory painted white color. 4) Canopy ridge protector will be .040 x 8 inch x 1/2 inch hemmed aluminum material to fit roof slope both sides. Canopy ridge protector will be fastened to roof panels per engineer design. Roof ridge protector will be factory painted white color. 5) Contractor must verify all measurements both to existing canopies and materials to be used. a. Remove existing roof materials and metal on the bottom side of canopy b. Replace top with metal to have a 2” fall as to get water to existing gutters c. Keep area safe at all times d. Remove all old materials from project sire e. Check in at Main office each day before starting work
