Description | For the following: Village of Tickfaw: MUNICIPAL STEET ASPHALT OVERLAY PROJECT Project is comprised of: Twelve sections of streets to receive 2" hot mix asphalt overlay with driveway tie-ins and intersections. Some base work required. Bid proposals, amendments to bid, or requests for withdrawal of bids received after time specified for bid openings shall not be considered for any cause whatsoever. Bidders or their authorized representative are invited to be present. No other information or tabulations will be available until awards are made after all bids are fully checked for responsiveness and accuracy. The bid fee shall be firm for a period of at least forty-five (45) days from the opening of bids, and no bid proposal can be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time. Project completion time: 90 calendar days BIDDERS must submit bids in a sealed envelope and must show sufficient reference on the outside of the sealed envelope to identify bids including, PROJECT NAME, BID OPENING DATE and LA. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE NUMBER. Included with the bid information submitted, Bidder must show proof of insurance of at least $300,000 in liability and workman's compensation. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier's check equivalent to 5% of the total bid as evidence of good faith of the bidder as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the US Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Successful bidders shall be required to furnish to the Village a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. The attention of bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, along with all applicable laws and regulations of the federal government and State of Louisiana, bonding and insurance requirements. In accordance with bid law LA RS 38:2212 (C)(2)(a), the right to reject any and all bids, and to waiver any informalities is reserved. |
