Description

In general, the work shall consist of: The Design-Bid-Build (DBB) construction of the Advanced Munitions Technology Complex (AMTC) at Eglin, Air Force Base, FL. The construction includes eight primary facilities for development of nano energetic/explosive technologies and the development, integration, rapid prototyping, and fielding of advance munitions. The buildings incorporate reinforced CMU with a combination of CMU split face veneer, metal panel system, pre-cast panels, and translucent fiberglass panel system; super-flat floors; flat roof systems of PVC membrane and a concrete deck; and earth berm (with shotcrete top slab) covered operational and storage bunkers. Protective construction hardening of walls, roof framing systems, and blast doors is included. LEED Silver campus certification required. Project site work includes clearing, cut/fill, grading, security fence, storm water drainage, utilities, and pavements. Bldg systems include chiller plants, gas-fired boilers, VAV AHUs, with DDC system; plumbing for water, sewer, industrial, compressed air, gas generator, and vacuums system; and electrical power, lighting, communication/Data, A/V, IDS, ACS, and lightning protection. Fire protection with central fire pump house, wet and deluge sprinkler systems with alarm/MNS required. The project shall be constructed and certifiable LEED Silver.
