Fairhope Recreation Center and Municipal Pool Complex Roof, Trim and Soffit Repair

The City of Fairhope is requesting responses to repair and/or replace the metal panel roof, metal trim and vinyl soffit on the Fairhope Recreation Center and Municipal Pool Complex Building located at 803 Greeno Road, Fairhope, Alabama. During Hurricane Sally, September 16, 2020, the gable metal roof system was damaged. Damages consisted of R-panel uplift (and subsequent fastener loosening), damage to edge ridge trim and vinyl soffit. The respondent shall submit a lump sum price per line item to repair and/or replace the roof components to as-built standards. The lump sum price should include all material, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals to deliver a complete "turnkey" replaced roof system. All required materials, equipment and labor to deliver a sealed roof envelope on both structures shall be considered a subsidiary obligation of the bid price. CONTRACT TIME The BIDDER agrees to repair and/or replace the metal panel roof, metal trim and vinyl soffit on the Fairhope Recreation Center and Municipal Pool Complex Building pending funding availability to current code standards and deliver a complete project in 28 calendar days allowed for work no exceptions for holidays following a 15-day Notice to Proceed Period. DURATION OF OFFER Bids maybe withdrawn in written or telegraphic request received from BIDDER prior to the time fixed for opening. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the City Council of the City of Fairhope. BID SECURITY Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security equal to 5% (percent) of the bid price, but in no event more than $10,000.00. Bid Security shall be in the form of a Bid Bond or a cashier's check payable to The City of Fairhope. No Bid Security is required on bids less than $10,000.00. PERFORMANCE ASSURANCE AND INSURANCE The BIDDER to whom award is made shall provide a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the CONTRACT Amount and a Labor and Material Bond equal to 50% of the CONTRACT amount. The accepted BIDDER shall also provide insurance as required in ITEM V. INQUIRIES Questions or comments pertaining to this bid must be presented in writing, sent as e-mail to the attention of the Purchasing Manager, Erin Wolfe, 555 South Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532, e-mail: Purchasing@FairhopeAL.gov, by Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. or will be forever waived. BID INELIGIBILITY Bids that contain irregularities of any kind may be declared unacceptable at the discretion of the CITY. The CITY may waive any irregularities and may reject any or all bids. Bids received after the deadline will be returned to the BIDDER unopened.
