Boiler - Replace: 1. Install a new gas-fired wall hung Combi boiler to replace existing boiler and water heater in utility room. 2. Remove and dispose of existing gas-fired boiler, existing component to heat system (expansion tank, directional valve, fill/pressure reduction valve and auto vent) and gas water heater. 3. Boiler is to be a gas fired Energy Star Rated Combi boiler such as Navien NCB240E or approved equal. 4. Unit shall be size to accommodate a family of Four (4) easily. 5. New boiler shall be capable of heating all habitable rooms, including bath, to a temperature of 70 degrees F. between 6:00 AM and 11:30 PM and 65 degrees F. during all other hours. 6. Items to be included in replacement are all mechanical accessory necessary to complete the job for efficient operation, and to meet all code specifications. 7. Flush existing heat piping to clear of any debris to ensure proper function of the heat system. 8. Install an emergency shut-off switch at the entrance to the utility room. 9. Emergency switch must be located so as not to be confused as a light switch and have an “Emergency” cover plate. 10. Thermostat is to be replaced with new such as Honeywell or equal. 11. Replaced boiler, water heater and parts are to be removed from property. 12. Contractor is responsible for familiarizing homeowner with operation of all newly- installed components, supplying all literature and warranties. 13. Seal chimney closed at top and bottom.
