Complete proposals will be received for the following work categories in accordance with drawings and specifications as prepared by the Architect, Engineers and Construction Manager. BID CATEGORY 1: EXTERIOR CONCRETE The Owner reserves the right to reject any, part of any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding procedures. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid when Bidder fails to submit data required by the Bidding Documents, or if the bid is submitted incomplete or irregular. No telephonic, email, fax bids or modification to a submitted bid will be received or considered by the Owner ,Each bid that exceeds Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) must be submitted with an attached certified check or bid bond from a surety company approved to do business in the State of Michigan, payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid Bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information to the bid. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or the employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendent of the school district, intermediate superintendent of the intermediate school district, or chief executive office of the public school academy. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. The work scope for this Bid Category includes, but is not limited to the work as specified in the R.C. Hendrick Project Manual, the Drawing and any Addenda issued prior to the bid date. Provide all labor, materials and equipment to satisfy the following Specification Sections and Notes unless otherwise noted. Division 00 Project Bidding Requirements Division 01 General Requirements Concrete Sidewalks Bid Category Notes (Including, but not limited to): 1. Furnish, form, and install all concrete for exterior slabs on grade, sidewalks, stoops. 2. Include all excavation, compaction, and backfill. 3. Include all final grading. Topsoil and seeding of disturbed areas. 4. Provide proper curing and sealing of concrete as shown or specified. 5. Include sealer for all exposed concrete. 6. Provide sawcutting of concrete curbs and walks as required for tie-ins. 7. Provide and install all resteel / mesh as shown or specified. 8. Provide proper rebar protection as required by MIOSHA. 9. Furnish and install all joint sealants for concrete work. Sonolastic SL-1 or equal. 10. Protect all exposed finishes during installation of this work. 11. Install fiber expansion joint every 50'. 12. Dowel into existing slabs with smooth dowels. Milestone Schedule: Work is to be completed during Spring of 2023.
