ADA Sidewalk Evaluation

ADA Sidewalk evaluation for approximately 50.8 miles of sidewalk to be performed throughout Village limits. Condition 1 - New, Condition 2 - Cracking – shrinking type cracks, no separation or displacement, Joint Deterioration – none, Vertical Displacement and Settlement – none, Spalling – up to ½ inch in diameter, ¼ inch deep and not more than eight (8 craters in a square foot, Sideslope – over ¼ inch and up to ½ inch per foot or less, Condition 3 - Cracking – structural cracks separated up to 1/4 inch, Joint Deterioration – separation up to ¼ inch, Vertical Displacement and Settlement – up to ¼ inch displacement or ½ inch settlement, Spalling – up to 35% of the surface of sidewalk chipping away, spotted or more than eight (8) craters in a square foot, Sideslope – ½ to 1 inch per foot (without evidence of a continuing slope accentuation), Condition 4 - Cracking – severe structural defects, map cracking with no loose pieces, separation up to ¼ inch to ½ inch, Joint Deterioration – chipped or cracked, separation more than ¼ inch and up to ½ inch, Vertical Displacement and Settlement – more than ¼ inch and up to ½ inch, Spalling – 35% to 50% of the surface chipped away, Sideslope – ½ to 1 inch per foot (with evidence of a continuing slope accentuation, i.e., tree root), Condition 5 - Cracking – major cracks with chunks of loose concrete, Joint Deterioration – major chips or cracks with separation more than ½ inch settlement, Spalling – over 50% of surface chipped away, Sideslope – over 1 inch per foot,
