Description

Electrical Contractors for general and specialty electrical work that is needed by the Treatment Operations Group in the Public Works and Natural Resources Department. Items that may be included in this work are: 1. Create dedicated circuits. 2. UPS supply power installations. 3. Replace building supply transformers. 4. Electrical panel upgrades. 5. Re-routing of conduit and switches. 6. Disconnect and re-connect RTU feeds and update circuits when replaced with new. 7. Replacing distribution panel circuit breakers. 8. Provide emergency power during planned and unplanned outages. 9. Replacing conduit and conductors. 10. Excavation to install or intercept conduits and feeders. 11. Assistance for troubleshooting. 12. Replacement and maintenance for lighting and power. 13. Design and installation of generators up to 200kW in size, along with accompanying automatic transfer switches (ATS). 14. Experience with setting up motors and variable frequency drives. 15. AC and DC controls. 16. PLCs and RTUs. 17. Process automation systems. 18. Installation and calibration of flow meters, pressure, level, and temperature sensors. The electrical Contractor(s) may also be required to troubleshoot emergency backup power systems. There may be times where the work requires the electrical Contractor to perform basic level design work for the purpose of completing the work or for obtaining Building Permits when needed on projects. The Contractor(s) may also be called upon for emergency response for natural and/or man-made disasters and in these situations the tasks could vary widely in scope.
