Description

Eau Claire County is requesting a rebid from qualified Contractors to provide the Land Conservation Division with a bid to construct a barnyard runoff system as outlined in the attached construction plan. Provide all labor and materials to construct a barnyard runoff system for Ken Schick located at 3225 N 60th Avenue, Chippewa, Falls, WI 54729. Provide all labor and materials to construct a barnyard runoff system for Ken Schick located at 3225 N 60th Avenue, Chippewa, Falls, WI 54729 to include but not limited to the following: Bring the foundation grade to design elevations as shown in the construction plan. Pour concrete flatwork, feed wall, 2' reinforced concrete wall, and 6-inch curb and spreader pad. Build and construct a wooden picket and metal weir as shown in the attached plans. Form and pour concrete as outlined in the construction plan prepared by the LCD. Prior to pouring concrete WI Job Sheet 813 will be submitted to the LCD. Excavate a grassed filter strip to design grades as shown in the attached plans. Install two watering facilities that will be constructed by teeing off the existing buried waterline at the shed and trenching a new water line to the livestock facility and installing two heated waterers. Install roof gutters as depicted in the construction plan. Construct a feed wall with headlocks based on the needs of Mr. Schick. Contractor will consult with Mr. Schick regarding the headlock configuration based on his needs. Contractor will invoice Mr. Schick directly for this portion of the project. Construct new fence as outlined in the construction plan and according to NRCS standards and specifications. Complete final grading to ensure proper drainage around building, top dress disturbed areas with topsoil, mulch, and seed. Provide construction timeline. Project must be completed no later than November 4, 2022. A $1,000.00 bid bond is required for each proposal submitted. The bid bond will be in the form of a check or letter of credit from an accredited bank submitted to Eau Claire County Purchasing. Bid bonds will be returned to those not submitting an accepted proposal. If the contractor that is selected to complete the project submits a check, the check will be deposited into an account following Eau Claire County procedure and refunded upon completion of the project. Copies of the Bid bond or certified check are allowed,100% Performance and Payment Bond required if project cost is greater than $50,000.
