Description | Replace various components of Craven Community College’s physical security system in order to enhance system interoperability and functionalities. Craven Community College utilizes an access control system (ACS) to secure and control access to buildings and rooms and enable Campus Security to monitor such access. Exterior ACS is used to control and lockdown buildings; interior ACS is used to control access to rooms with high-value equipment or safety hazards (hazardous chemicals, syringes, gun lockers, etc.), and to isolate spaces during lockdown situations and non-College events. Call boxes (intercoms) have been placed in strategic locations to enable individuals to quickly contact Campus Security at the push of a button. The existing ACS components are GeoVision brand while the existing call boxes are Valcom brand. |
