Reconstruction and Resurfacing of River Avenue, West End Avenue to Central Avenue

Work to be performed under this Contract consists of reconstructing approximately 1745 ft. of River Avenue from West End Avenue to Central Avenue in the Borough of Island Heights with roadway grading operations of milling and filling. The intent of the proposed grading operations is to raise the travel lanes of the roadway and adjust the existing gutter elevations along the current roadway to eliminate standing water. The Contractor shall also be expected to reconstruct curb ramps to ADA standards, install 449 S.Y. of variable width 4" thick sidewalk, install 530 L.F. of new ductile iron drainage pipe in designated areas, install new drainage structures, and install tide control check valves on all existing outfalls.
