| Description | Tree stump grinding services on various City properties and right of ways throughout the City of Goldsboro, North Carolina. 1. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, supervision, utilities, insurance, transportation, miscellaneous costs and consumables necessary to grind tree stumps at various locations on City property or right of ways (ROW). 2. The Contract representative (CR) will identify stumps to be removed either by individual stumps or specified groups of stumps. The Contractor shall not enter onto private property during the performance of this contract unless the CR has provided the contractor written notice that a duly executed right of entry has been obtained from the landowner. 3. Stumps shall be completely ground to a minimum depth of twelve inches (12"). All large surface roots greater than three inches (3") and attached to the stump will be removed or ground. The contractor shall be responsible for removal and proper disposal of excess grindings. The finished site shall be raked smooth with grindings left slightly higher than grade, but no more than four inches (4") to allow for decomposition/settling. The contractor is responsible for securing utility locates prior to grinding. | ||
