Description | The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: New kitchens and bathrooms for the scattered site units. Work to include patching and painting of drywall and doors. The units to receive new flooring, new light fixtures, new receptacles and switches along with new cover plates, and replacement of doors, under slab plumbing repairs, and termite damage repairs. The Contractor shall visit the site and acquaint themselves with all existing conditions as they affect the work specified. All questions concerning this project shall be referred to 1919 Architects 4000 Morsay Drive, Rockford, IL 61107, (815) 229-8222, attention Ron Billy or ron@1919architects.com New kitchens and bathrooms for the scattered site units. Work to include patching and painting of drywall and doors. The units to receive new flooring, new light fixtures, new receptacles and switches along with new cover plates, and replacement of doors, under slab plumbing repairs, and termite damage repairs. Bids received must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and clearly marked Scattered Site Units Rehab. Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount of not less than 5% of the base bid shall be submitted with each bid. Failure to submit an acceptable bid bond with the bid will result in the rejection of the bid. Attention is called to the provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the bid documents. All Contractors who are awarded construction related contracts must document Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Opportunity in Employment. This documentation is subject to review by the Regional Office of the Department of Labour. As a part of normal contract administration, Stanton Housing Authority is responsible for determining the Contractor's compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Clause and Affirmative Action Requirements as well as the Contractor's performance in executing those requirements. All MBE/DBE/WBE Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers are encouraged to participate on Stanton Housing Authority projects. Stanton Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any and all technicalities. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (90) calendar days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the written consent of Stanton Housing Authority. |
