Vehicle Parking Expansion and Asphalt Repaving

Bids for parking area expansion and asphalt paving should address the following objectives, which are not necessarily all-inclusive: 1. Remove existing asphalt, add 12 inches of sand with 6 inches of 22A aggregate and compact. Add a minimum of three and one half inches of new asphalt MDOT mix. 2. Remove any vegetation for expanded parking area. Spray area with vegetation killer to prevent future growth. Add sand, aggregate sub-base and compact. Pave to same level as existing parking area with three and one half inches of asphalt MDOT mix. 3. Allow for sub-surface drainage and slope to prevent water pooling on paved areas. Prevent water collection at edge of paved areas. 4. The bid must be fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and all applicable codes
