Description

**As of December 28, 2023, This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Form provided, accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a Surety/Bonding Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey pursuant to Federal and/or State law as Surety, a Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of ten (10%) of the total amount bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00 to insure signing of the contract. Successful bidder shall simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) of the acceptable bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract Successful bidder shall with the delivery of the performance bond submit an executed payment bond to guarantee payment to laborers and suppliers for the labor and material used in the work performed under the contract. Successful bidder shall upon acceptance of the work submit a maintenance bond in the amount of 100% guaranteeing against defective quality of work or materials for the period of two (2) years. The City of Passaic reserves the right to award contract basis of Lump Sum Bid for entire work upon any Base Bid or combination of Base Bid & Alternates that will best serve the interest of The City. For Owners records, submit copies of permits, licenses, certifications, inspection reports, releases, jurisdictional settlements, notices, receipts for fee payments, judgments, correspondence, records, and similar documents, established for compliance with standards and regulations bearing on performance of the Work. NJ law requires the contractor pay the HIGHER of State prevailing wages or Davis-Bacon, for each class of worker. See Federal Labor Standards Provision section. Matched outdoor units of the size and capacity as indicted on the mechanical schedules, including electrical disconnects, control wiring, refrigerant piping & piping ancillaries, valve, piping supports & insulation, pate equipment supports, power wiring up to the disconnects and manufacturer provided vibration isolation. Matched indoor units of the size and capacity as indicated on the mechanical schedules, including all supports, vibration isolation, room temperature thermostats, control wiring, thermostat control wiring, electrical disconnects, wall brackets, condensate piping and clean outs, refrigerant piping & ancillaries. All control wiring to be installed in EMT conduits. All refrigerant piping shall be provide with all manufacturer approved y-fittings for the installation of all branched refrigerant circuits and branch box selectors. Outdoor units shall be capable of providing heating Goals and Timetables for Minority Participation for Each Trade 12.9% Goals and Timetables for Minority Participation for Each Trade 6.9% The Work consists of the following: 1. Project will include the construction of a new one-story building consisting of offices, exam rooms, and a conference room for the City of Passaic, at 69 Jefferson St. The new space is approximately 2,310 SF. 2. The building will be constructed of poured concrete foundations, and steel girders spanning from perimeter concrete block walls. 3. Interior finishes include predominately painted GWB stud wall partitions, ACT drop ceilings, VCT flooring, hollow metal doors and frames, ceramic tile floor and walls at restrooms, and exposed painted structure as finish will occur at some ceilings. 4. Site work includes new fill and compaction at location of demolished building to provide adequate bearing capacity for new footings and foundations, as well as, new storm and sanitary lines, and electrical utility services. The GC is to coordinate all work with the respective utility companies. Every request for an interpretation shall be in writing, addressed to the City of Passaic representative stipulated in the bid.
