2021 Mowing Season Mowing and Trimming Services

The approximate mowing season runs from March15th through November 15th with some latitude given to the schedule based on the weather of the season and growing conditions. • Services performed as part of the RFP should only be performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. • Each cut should be scheduled on an as-needed basis with the goal of maintaining an approximately 3” turf height during the growing season. Generally, a weekly cut schedule can be adopted during “normal” weather and growing conditions. • String Trimming should be completed at the same time each property is cut and not at a later date. If conditions warrant string trimming can be reduced to every other cutting so long as a neat and well-groomed appearance is kept. • Prior to mowing, grounds shall be policed for trash and debris. Any debris not picked up but mowed, shall be immediately picked up and disposed of before departing that particular property. Any brush or limbs can be condensed into piles and notification given to the Maintenance Director or his designee. • After mowing and trimming are completed, all walks, stoops, driveways, and other pavement surfaces shall be blown or swept to clear all grass clippings. Contractor shall rake and remove clumped grass clippings as necessary to maintain groomed appearance and promote a healthy turf. Driving the lawn mower over sidewalk or road does not constitute “blowing or sweeping”.
