Description

Project Cost Class E - $2,500,000 to $5,000,000 Contract Number: 522030R The work will take place at Dundalk Marine Terminal and it includes, but is not limited to, demolition and removal of building roof insulation sprayed on the interior side of the existing metal roof panels, demolition and removal of building roof panels, all existing gutters, downspouts, fascia and trim associated with the existing roof, demolition and removal of existing abandoned duct work penetrating the existing roof system, coordination and installation of interior and exterior protection from demolition work and debris. Installation of "Z" channel stiffeners, cable x-bracing, insulated standing seam metal panel roof system, continuous ridge ventilation, expansion joint, general flashing, counterflashing, formed wall sheet metal fabrications, cap flashing, sheet metal flashings, gutters, downspouts, facias, and components required to terminate the roofing system. MBE Participation (%) 17% Question Due Date: November 2, 2023, 2:00 PM Local Time. The contract awarded shall allow for 420 workdays for the completion of the work. Liquidated damages of $1225.00 will be assessed for each day the work under the contract remains incomplete. VSBE Subcontracting Goal: 0% Once the pre-proposal conference is over, we will walk to the Access Control Center to check-in for access to Dundalk Marine Terminal. If you have a TWIC Card, please bring it with you. If you do not have a TWIC card, you will be given a visitor badge. The shuttle will leave the Business Center as soon as check-in in completed. Each company attending the pre-proposal conference and site visit must limit attendance to no more than two representatives. Companies interested in attending MUST submit to the Procurement Officer Attachment 17 with each individual's information. All attendees must have closed toed shoes while on terminal property. This information must be emailed to the Procurement Officer no later than 2:00 PM on October 13, 2023. If representatives do not RSVP by 2:00 PM on October 13, 2023, they will not be permitted to attend the site visit. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond from a corporate surety will be required from the selected offeror within ten business days following notice of award and prior to execution of the Contract by the MPA. The penal sum of the Performance and Payment Bonds shall be the amount of the Price Proposal shown on the final Price Proposal Form submitted by the offeror and accepted by the MPA, or the amount provided in GP-3.03B of the MPA General Provisions for Construction Contracts. Questions and other inquiries must be submitted to the Procurement Officer in writing. Questions subsequent to the pre-proposal meeting date are to be submitted in writing via email to the Procurement Officer no later than the date and time listed in the Key Information Summary Sheet at the beginning of this RFP. Questions must be submitted in writing. A summary of significant questions and answers will be distributed to offerors receiving the RFP or who are known to the Procurement Officer to have obtained the RFP. Answers to all questions that are not clearly specific only to the requestor will be published on eMMA as an addendum. The statements and interpretations contained in response to any questions, whether responded to verbally or in writing, are not binding on the MPA unless it issues an addendum.
