Description | Interpretive Signage, SR530 Slide Memorial Question Deadline 09/02/2022 at 11:00 AM PT The County is accepting proposals from qualified firms and individuals to provide fabrication of interpretive sign panels and mounting hardware. These signs will be used to provide exhibit information to Slide Memorial visitors. For Easy Identification, Please List the Rfp Number in the Subject Line of the Email. Note: Hand Delivered Submittals Will Not Be Accepted at Any County Location Other Than the County Purchasing Division as Described Above. Snohomish County in Accordance With Title Vi of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 Usc 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle a, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation Issued Pursuant to Such Act, Hereby Notifies All Submitters That It Will Affirmatively Insure That in Any Contract Entered Into Pursuant to This Advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as Defined at 49 Cfr Part 26 Will Be Afforded Full Opportunity to Submit Qualifications in Response to This Invitation and Will Not Be Discriminated Against on the Grounds of Race, Color or National Origin in Consideration for an Award. SCOPE OF SERVICES Contractor shall provide: a. Outdoor public recreation interpretive and wayfinding signage b. Porcelain-enamel signage with lifetime warranty against fading c. Signs as listed and described in the attached drawings (Attachment A) d. Custom hardware for installing in gabion walls (including holes, inserts, backers and mounting hardware as needed) e. Standard hardware for installing on steel posts (including holes, inserts, backers and mounting hardware as needed) f. Shop drawings for review and approval before manufacturing g. Sample of signage and attachment hardware materials for review and approval before manufacturing h. Installation instructions The County shall provide: a. Graphic files for each sign (currently under production by a separate graphic design consultant) b. Coordination with graphic design consultant for file type clarification and detailed design considerations c. Installation (signs will be installed by the general contractor constructing the memorial project) The proposal shall include: 1. List of product deliverables: (Detailed product list including quantities and descriptions located in Attachment B Price Sheet.) - Eleven (11) porcelain-enamel interpretive signs mounted to gabion walls Two (2) porcelain-enamel orientation signs to be epoxied on (owner-provided) cedar posts - Three (3) porcelain-enamel interpretive signs on (Owner-provided) timber frames. - 2. Delivery, storage and handling: Delivery to the site (28618 State Rte. 530 NE, Arlington, WA 98223) - Exterior signage components to be delivered to the Owner will be accepted under the following conditions: a. Deliver materials completely assembled and ready for installation with manufacturer's tags and labels intact. Shall be delivered in protective packaging (boxed, shrink-wrapped, cardboard guards, etc.), palletized and under protective covers to prevent damage during shipping. b. Invoices shall list all parts delivered and be broken down by pallet and/or container. c. Invoices shall be cross referenced to the pallets and containers for ease of item location. d. The Owner reserves the right to reject any materials that are damaged, defective or do not meet the above requirements 3. Warranty/Guarantee - Provide a one-year guarantee, from the date of acceptance of delivery. The guarantee shall apply to the following sign system characteristics: - There shall be no: a. Evidence of cupping, warping, or dishing b. Evidence of delamination of any of the parts of signs or of any lettering from the sign face c. Evidence of bubbling, crazing, chalking, rusting or other disintegration of the sign face, messages or edge finish of sign panels d. Evidence of corrosion beneath point surfaces of the support systems e. Evidence of corrosion of the fastenings f. Evidence of signs out of plumb on their foundations g. Evidence of color fading when matched against a sample of the original color and material Provide a lifetime guarantee from the date of acceptance of delivery on the color retention of all digital graphics - Nine (9) porcelain-enamel interpretive signs on steel posts |
