45--Galley Plumbing Renovation

Contract work shall encompass the following items of work as described in these specifications. This summary is not all-inclusive and delineates only those work items deemed as major to the contract. Ancillary work items not listed below, though necessary to attain the completed project, shall be included in the contract. Specifically, the contractor shall: Furnish (where applicable) and install the following components. 1. Installation of Grease Trap and Triple Bowl Sink: a. Camera sewer and layout sanitary sewer system. b. Removal of double bowl sink and sawcut concrete around grease trap to facilitate removal. c. Excavate and remove grease trap and all dirt/fill. d. Re-pipe sanitary sewer to bypass old section of grease trap. e. Run new rough plumbing for double bowl sink under concrete along interior wall to new grease trap location in 3” PVC and backfill with pea gravel. f. Concrete to rough grade only. g. Reinstall preexisting sink. h. Pipe in new grease trap supplied by Reeves above ground underneath sink. i. All work to be done to the 2015 International Plumbing Code. j. Camera line prior to concrete removal to locate closest connection to the grease traps new location. k. In the presence of the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative, witness the operation of the sink drains and grease trap operation. 2. Installation of Galley Floor: a. Install urethane cement floor with 6” cove and epoxy topcoat. Approximately 500 square feet. b. Demo existing cove base and raised pads.
