City Hall Seismic Upgrade

Scope: Seismic upgrade of the 17-story (16 true-stories) Reno City Hall facility, consisting of installation of diagonally placed viscous dampers from Floors 7 through 16 in various locations of the building; improving steel column bolted splice plates on several floors; strengthening steel beams with plates near damper installation locations; asbestos abatement of existing fire proofing to gain access to column and beam elements; relocation of portions of the perimeter induction heating/cooling radiators to accommodate the dampers; application of new plaster and spray fire proofing to columns and beams elements; removal and rebuilding various metal stud walls; replacing walls and ceilings; and removing and replacing light fixtures.
