5th Street West - Imeson Road to Melson Avenue - Trans - New - Force Main

This project is to provide additional capacity to dual 12-inch force mains (FM) along the project corridor and to minimize sulfide odors at the two, 12-inch FM discharge locations. This will include: 1. 5th and Melson St. manhole replacement, 2. upsizing of two adjacent manholes before discharging into 5th and Melson intersection, 3. jacking and boring under railroad crossings, Lane Ave, and Edgewood Ave. at 5th St., 4. directional drilling under I-295, 5. installation of water main stub-outs, 6. installation of FM pipe interconnections between the new 20-inch FM and the existing two 12-inch FMs, 7. footprint and service connections establishment for future odor control structure.
