Professional Services - Historic Courthouse HVAC System Replacement

The Project work includes design and engineering services as well as prepare construction bid documents and perform construction administration for the replacement of the HVAC equipment at the Historic Courthouse. The current system utilizes 41 water source heat pump units with acooling tower (fluid cooler) and natural gas fired cast iron modular steam boiler. The County previously had a HVAC study on the systems and several options were provided. Those options have been narrowed to either a two pipe or four pipe system. The scope of this project may include but not be limited to the following: Direct replacement of Boiler, Cooling Tower, and Heat Pumps to replace all end of life equipment. Air cooled chiller and condensing boiler, with 4 pipe fan coil units.Evaluate the above options and determine cost impacts as well as disruption to the building and parking.Evaluate what additional equipment and or venting that may be needed to reduce humidity in the rotunda in conjunction with each proposed system. Design and Engineering of one of the above options. In each option the cooling tower must be relocated away from the historic building. The engineer must provide alternative location that may also include a recessed pit for the equipment. Preparation of bid documents as well as perform bid administration. Preparation of construction documents.Provide construction administration services for the installation of the designed system.
