Description

Application of approximately 35,000 square yards plus or minus of asphalt and aggregate surface seal. South Dakota Standard Specifications for road and bridges1990 edition Section 360 will be enforced. Chips must be spread even and uniform either with a self-propelled or truck driven hopper machine at a rate of 35 lbs. per square yard. No rotor spreader will be allowed. City will sweep gravel and debris off streets. Contractor will be responsible to have streets cleaned with rotor powered broom as in section 360. OPTION #1 Contractor furnishing all necessary equipment, labor, signs, flags, and safeguards necessary for safety of traffic. Bidder will also furnish all necessary supplies for project including South Dakota State Code Class Modified 2A 3/8ths DOT Pink Quartz Chips applied at 35 pounds per square yard, and MC-800 or MC-3000 oil at an application rate of .40 gallons per square yard. OPTION #2 Bidder to furnish all necessary equipment, labor, signs, flags, and safeguards necessary for safety of traffic. South Dakota State Code Class Modified 2A 3/8ths DOT Pink Quartz Chips shall be obtained by bidder from City stock pile; 35 pounds rock per square yard. Oil MC-800 or MC-3000; application rate .40 gallons per square yard. All bids to be sealed and marked "Surface Seal".
