Ramer Annex Renovations

The Ramer Annex will house Berkeley County’s transitional student program. Renovations to the structure will consist of a residential setting on the first floor and employee offices on the second. The successful bidder will provide turn-key construction services. Modifications will include but not be limited to the following: Partial chimney removal and roof repairs excluded from this RFP. 1. Demolition of exterior rear porch and foundation walls. 2. Repair foundation walls where required when porch is removed. 3. Replace existing door sill. 4. Construct new pressure treated deck and stairs. 5. Demolition of front porch steps. 6. Construct new switchback handicap ramp as indicated on drawing. 7. Entry: Patch and paint. New carpet. 8. Living room: Patch and paint. New carpet. 9. Bedroom (existing kitchen): Remove counter, sink and plumbing. Remove current pantry wall and construct new partition and bifold doors. Reverse door swing for new bathroom. Patch and paint. New carpet. 10. Bath: Construct new partition. Install new ADA shower and grab bars. Install new handicap sink and toilet with grab bars. Vinyl tile floor and painted walls and ceiling. Plumbing will be run in basement. 11. New Kitchen: Supply and install new counter and sink. Supply and install new range, refrigerator, washer and dryer. Plumbing to be run in basement. Provide electric outlets for range, refrigerator, washer and dryer. Patch and paint. New seamless vinyl flooring. 12. Second floor: General maintenance of doors and windows. Patch and paint. New carpet. 2 Add drop ceiling in two rooms. Replace vanity and toilet in bathroom. New vinyl floor in bathroom, patch & paint bathroom drywall 13. Replace exterior basement door.
