Description

Dredging and improvement of facilities in and along Mastodon Lake within the City of Aurora, Kane County, Illinois. The project location is accessible from HA Wyeth Drive, Pleasant Place and from Ashland Avenue. Dredged materials will be permanently stockpiled in the vicinity of Phillips Park. Dredging of the accumulated sediment from Mastodon Lake using hydraulic dredging methods, dewatering and hauling of dredged materials, installation of mechanical mixing and aeration devices, shoreline restoration using stone and bio-engineered techniques, installation of culvert pipes, as well as other miscellaneous appurtenances.
