Replace Emergency Generators University of Buffalo The Contractor shall complete all work necessary for substantial completion by 794 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The Fund's project specific goals for this project are 18% MBE and 12% WBE and 6% SDV. The Fund waives fees and deposits for sets of the Contract Documents requested by NYS certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. Each bid must be identified, on the outside of the envelope, with the name and address of the bidder and designated a bid for the Project titled above. When a sealed bid is placed inside another delivery jacket, the bid delivery jacket must be clearly marked on the outside "BID ENCLOSED". The Fund reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of SUCF Project No 301033-00 titled: REPLACE EMERGENCY GENERATORS - COOKE, HOCHSTETTER, AND DORSHEIMER BUILDINGS and carrying out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: o Removal of turbine diesel generators from Cooke and Hochstetter Halls on level 6.5 and all its associated equipment. o Removal of diesel generators from Dorsheimer Laboratory on ground level and all its associated equipment. o Removal and properly dispose of underground fuel oil tanks, associated piping, and associated generator day tanks. o Provide paralleling switchgear and distribution to existing emergency power distribution in Cooke, Hochstetter and Dorsheimer Buildings. o HVAC removals associated with turbines at Cooke Hall. o Roofing work due to exhaust stack removals at Cooke, Hochstetter, and Dorsheimer Buildings. o Site disturbance and restoration to allow for ductbank system and exterior mounting of generator
