Description | **As of July 28, 2022, website status is cancelled. No definite date for the rebid.** As of July 18, 2022. The County has decided to cancel the project until further notice. The project includes the resurfacing and associated work within the right-of-way of 12 roads in Upson County for a total of 12.51 miles of resurfacing. The 12 roads to be resurfaced are as follows: South Old Alabama Road (0.92 mi), Harp Road (0.65 mi), Mann Street (0.19 mi), Miller Street (0.18 mi), Clark Drive (0.18 mi), Chaney Street (0.08 mi), Thurston School Road (1.62 mi), North Delray Road (1.59 mi), Clay Street (0.24 mi) Jugtown Road (2.16 mi), E. Poplar Street (0.22 mi), and Rest Haven Road (4.49 mi). The project includes the restoration of the Hightower Library Parking Lot. The project includes the storm drainage replacement and roadway repair at Rocky Creek Road. The project includes roadway repairs at 6 locations. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition. The successful bidder shall secure and pay for all permits, assessments, charges or fees required in connection with the proposed construction. Answers to all questions shall be provided a minimum of 72 hours prior to the time of the bid. All work to be performed under this project must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days following receipt of Notice to Proceed. Upson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, the right to reject any and all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any bidder whom Owner believes would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that bidder whether because the bid is not responsive, the bidder is unqualified, or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. |
