Hygiene Dairy Produce Processing and Storage Facility

Qualified and experienced Contractors for the design and the construction of a Produce Storage and Washing/Handling Facility. The new facility will be constructed on the Hygiene Dairy Open Space agricultural property. One contractor will be selected to oversee the entire Project from design to construction. With the passing of the Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA), several of the County’s organic vegetable producers will be looking for produce handling facilities to meet these requirements. This facility will meet the requirements for washing, handling, packaging and storing of organic produce raised on this property. This type of facility is required in order to handle and wash produce for human consumption based on the guidelines put forth by the Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA). The selected Contractor will complete all aspects of the project within 8 months from the date of Notice to Proceed. Proposers are advised that this Project will not commence until April 2021. The Project will be awarded and a contract will be executed in 2020 specifically for services to begin in 2021.
