Description | This work consists of the construction of work items to construct a new asphalt paved parking lane, a new asphalt paved apron and the installation of a new precast concrete double vault toilet building at the Lava Lands Visitor Center. Project work shall include: designed asphalt paved parking lane shall be surveyed and staked to achieve the layout shown in the drawings for location and designed depths, striping of accessible parking stalls, accessible aisle and no parking areas and placement of new wheel stops. It also includes saw cutting and removal of the existing asphalt pavement for new asphalt placement; excavation, grading and compaction of subgrade and aggregate base material to achieve design slopes for drainage. Excavation waste, slash and tree stump material shall be hauled to the government supplied disposal and burn pit sites. Work also includes placement of painted pavement markings, installation of reserved accessible parking signs on wooden post, clearing and grubbing for new asphalt placement and vault toilet installation; also, other related work as described in these documents, specifications, and contract documents, by the reference made a part hereof. Contractor shall furnish all necessary personnel, labor, materials, equipment, services, facilities, transportation, and incidentals to perform the Scope of Contract and Specifications provided in regard to this project. The Contractor shall utilize products and materials that promote energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, use of recovered materials, that are environmentally preferable, with recycled content and that are recyclable, are made from biobased materials, and are energy efficient (Energy Star-qualified) to the maximum extent possible without jeopardizing the intended end use or detracting from the overall quality delivered. |
