Description | Furnish labor, materials and services necessary to remove snow and ice at the Housing Authority of the City at Milwaukee's (HACM) Westlawn Gardens Campus to include Victory Manor located at 6236 West Birch Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53218 per the following: Work will be on an as-needed continuous basis to assure that all areas listed in the scope of work are completely clear of all snow and/or ice. Work to be completed within 24 hours after the end of each period of precipitation. Snow and ice to be removed from alleys, parking lots, stairs, ramps, trash can areas and all common areas throughout the entire development. Contractor must remove snow and ice from all parking stalls when available. **It is strongly encouraged to do a walk through for this site with the Manager and/or Maintenance to ensure the responsiveness of your bid and meet the scope of work because this development has lots of specifics** Please contact Amy Schroeckenthaler @a aschro@travauxinc.com or 414-286-8876 if you desire to schedule a walk through to access the needs of the property. This contract will be effective November 22nd, 2022 through April 15th, 2023, with the option to extend for up to an additional four one-year periods upon mutual consent of both parties. Payments and billings will be determined in consideration of snowfall from information received from the National Weather Service, weather.gov -- Monthly Summarized Data for Snowfall for Milwaukee (contractor to provide when billing). The successful bidder shall only submit invoices once every month. All invoices MUST have Development name and date of snow/ice removal. Contractor to supply salt. Contractor to have equipment available to pick up and move large amounts of snow to designated areas of the development. Contractor shall take all steps necessary to protect all property and persons from any damage or injury resulting from this work. Contractor shall employ sufficient, qualified and competent personnel to perform work promptly. Contractor must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in snow removal for large family developments with unit count greater than 200 with sidewalks, parking areas, and alleys.
