Description

Your firm is hereby invited to submit a written statement of qualifications to provide professional engineering services for the Group 2 Water Main Replacements project. Group 2 includes the following locations: o West Manning Drive o South Road o Polk Place OWASA will conduct a Qualification-Based Selection process to identify the best qualified firm with which to negotiate a contract. All firms submitting qualifications must have demonstrated experience and expertise in design and construction services for water main replacement. No pre proposal meeting will be held for this project. To receive updates on the RFQ you must contact the project manager, Allison Spinelli (aspinelli@owasa.org). The primary objective of the project is to: a) Evaluate the replacement options for the 12" AC waterline on West Manning Drive in Chapel Hill. b) Evaluate the replacement options for the 12" AC waterline on South Road in Chapel Hill. c) Evaluate the replacement options for the 12" AC waterline on Polk Place in Chapel Hill. d) Abandon 12-inch AC water mains. e) Recommend design and construction plans that will achieve the needs of OWASA and customers. f) Coordinate with UNC and UNC Hospital and other Stakeholders to minimize impacts to their operations. g) Potentially assist OWASA with State Revolving Fund loan request. h) Perform Construction Related services to complete the recommended construction. Brad Barber will be OWASA's primary point of contact for all consultant selection matters relating to this project. All questions regarding this Request for Qualifications must be emailed on or before 5:00pm on Monday, August 29, 2022 to Allison Spinelli (aspinelli@owasa.org). OWASA reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any and all formalities, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional submittals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
